Elopement and Engagement in ScotlandWandering with Becca & Alasdair for few hours between the mountains and along the river to take their engagement photos Location: numerous lovely spots at Glen Coe, Scottish Highlands, Scotland Guiding and photography by Weirdie Grizzly Becca & Alasdair will have their wedding in May at the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park where I will document their love all day long. The first time I have met with them face to face they were already very likeable to me with their wedding ideas and the feeling was mutual. I advised them to do a pre-wedding or engagement couple photo session before their wedding day, because it has many benefits for all of us. (I will write another blog post about pre-wedding photo sessions and their benefits soon.) They love hiking so we decided to go to the Glen Coe area where I’ve guided them to a couple of secret spots to do their adventure photo session. I enjoyed spending every minute with these two beautiful human beings as it was great wandering together and to be a part of their lives even for a few hours. Tell us a bit about you. "We love being outdoors and exploring new places. We are getting married next year in a beautiful lochside location in the Torssachs which we came across while out on a walk." How did you choose your location for the photo session? "Both of us enjoy hill walking and hikes with some of our favourite walks being in the highlands. Laszlo - Weirdie Grizzly - was able to recommend beautiful, off the beaten track locations in our chosen area to hold the shoot." How did you find your photographer? "We found Weirdie Grizzly online through a recommendation on a wedding page and instantly fell in love with his style of photography." What was the inspiration behind your photo session? "We love being outdoors and exploring all the wonderful places that Scotland has to offer. We felt that being in this environment best represented us and what we love to do." What was your favourite moment from the day? "Our favourite moment of the day was towards the end of the shoot when the sun was setting behind the hills. The light changed creating a completely different atmosphere." Any advice for other couples? "When looking for a photographer, find someone that not only works with the style that you like but also puts you at ease. Finding a photographer that you really get along with makes the whole experience relaxed and fun." Glen Coe has so many amazing spots to plan an adventurous engagement. You have captured their story so nicely. And your tones are spot on for the Scottish highlands.
