I’m Laszlo, but most people know me as Weirdie Grizzly—a nickname that pretty much sums me up.
Weirdie because I don’t do things the “normal” way. I think outside the box, live a little differently, and I like it that way. (Nope, I don’t even own a TV!) Instead of screen time, you’ll usually find me out in the Scottish wilderness—hiking, wild camping, fly fishing, or just sitting quietly among the trees, soaking in the silence.
Grizzly... well, you’ll get it when we meet. Let’s just say I’m rugged on the outside but gentle where it counts.
As a Scotland Elopement Photographer, I offer unique elopement packages, I help couples create epic, meaningful experiences in the most remote and magical places in the Scottish Highlands and beyond. I'm here to guide you through it all—from finding the perfect location to capturing every authentic moment of your adventure.
I'm not one for the spotlight. I'm an introvert at heart, but also an artist who thrives in real, meaningful connections—especially the kind I get to create with the couples I photograph. I’m not here to follow trends or chase likes. I’m here to tell your story in the most honest, beautiful, and personal way I know how.
I still shoot on analog film using vintage cameras. Why? Because there’s something magical about the tangible—the feel of film, the smell of old leather camera straps, the click of a shutter that’s older than you and me. It slows things down. It keeps the process raw, real, and deeply personal—for all of us.
Promoting myself as a Scotland Elopement Photographer has never come easy. But I let my work and the words of my clients do the talking. Every photo I take is crafted with care, emotion, and intention. My focus is on you—your story, your connection, your elopement experience in the wild beauty of Scotland.

I am a happy dad of a beautiful daughter called Emma and a teenager boy, Akos.
I love to laugh at myself and be self-ironic.
I love analog (film) photography and use it daily for my projects and elopement works.
I'm not only using it but also a collector of film cameras, mainly on a sentimental basis.
I love to discover Scottish rivers, lochs, and glens. I often wander and go wild camping in the Scottish Highlands and Isles.
I love woollen jumpers and Beanie hats.
I love to cook for my loved ones.
I love poppy seed and everything that made with like Poppy seed roll, Hungarian Poppy Seed Bread Pudding.
I've got a higher diploma in Photography and social work, including 4 years of study in Psychology.
I drink only water.
I love classical, heavy metal and alt rock music (Chopin, Therion, The Gathering, Metallica, The Smashing Pumpkins, and many more).
My favourite color is orange, and I always wear something in that color.
Currently, I'm building a camper van to be my mobile office when I'm working on elopements across Scotland.
I am not a frequent buyer as I use my stuff until last. I still use my 8 years old mobile, many 50+ years old cameras.
I like to buy second-hand things. I think reducing my footprint on the beautiful planet Earth is essential.
I don't watch TV, listen to adverts on the radio or read newspapers.
I worked as a private tour guide in Scotland.

How I Became an Elopement Photographer in Scotland?
So, how did it all begin? Believe it or not, my photography journey started when I dropped a camera at the age of six in Dresden, Germany. (Yes, it survived — and so did my curiosity!) Over the years, that curiosity turned into a deep passion for capturing memories through light.
I created Weirdie Grizzly — my space to focus solely on adventure elopements, intimate weddings, and couple photography for free-spirited lovers who want something real, wild, and deeply personal.
