Wandering with Becca & Alasdair for few hours at the wilderness - approx 2 hours of engagement photography
Location: numerous lovely spots at the Scottish Highlands
Guiding and photography by Weirdie Grizzly
Becca & Alasdair will have their wedding next year at the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The first time I have met them face to face they were already very likeable to me with their wedding ideas and the feeling was mutual. I advised them to do a pre-wedding photo session before their wedding day because it has many benefits for all of us. (I will write another blog post about pre-wedding photo sessions and their benefits soon.)
They love hiking so we decided to go to the Scottish Highlands where I’ve guided them to a couple of secret spots.
I enjoyed spending every minute with these two beautiful human beings. It was great wandering together and to be a part of their lives for a few hours.
Tell us a bit about you.
"We love being outdoors and exploring new places. We are getting married next year in a beautiful lochside location in the Torssachs which we came across while out on a walk."
How did you choose your location for the photo session?
"Both of us enjoy hill walking and hikes with some of our favourite walks being in the highlands. Laszlo - Weirdie Grizzly - was able to recommend beautiful, off the beaten track locations in our chosen area to hold the shoot."
How did you find your photographer?
"We found Weirdie Grizzly online through a recommendation on a wedding page and instantly fell in love with his style of photography."
What was the inspiration behind your photo session?
"We love being outdoors and exploring all the wonderful places that Scotland has to offer. We felt that being in this environment best represented us and what we love to do."
What was your favourite moment from the day?
"Our favourite moment of the day was towards the end of the shoot when the sun was setting behind the hills. The light changed creating a completely different atmosphere."
Any advice for other couples?
"When looking for a photographer, find someone that not only works with the style that you like but also puts you at ease. Finding a photographer that you really get along with makes the whole experience relaxed and fun."

I feel so lucky myself to live at the gateway of the Scottish Highlands. I have the privilege to visit and work at beautiful locations very often like Rannoch Moor, Glen Coe, Isle of Skye, Torridon, Glen Affric and many more.
After many years of exploring and working at places in the Highlands I know some of the best locations and I know everything you will need to get there. I love to guide my adventurous couples through beautiful landscapes to make sure they have an experience of a lifetime during their photo session.
You can see why exploring and wandering outdoor is a key to me. So I know breathtaking locations I can guide my awesome clients to on their photo session in the Scottish Highlands.

I am a quiet guy and words are not my biggest strength just yet. I prefer my photos to talk for themselves. Here is a post wedding photoshoot, I hope you will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed capturing this lovely couple in September.
My Hungarian clients already had their wedding in Hungary with family and friends, but they decided to get a post wedding photo session at the beautiful Highlands as they live in Scotland. They didn’t know the Scottish Highlands so they asked for my advice on how to plan their post wedding photo session in the Scottish rural. I have helped them organise their big day. We had a goal to make some spectacular images at breathtaking locations.
The couple arrived at Callander - the gateway to the Highlands - we were off driving to the north. On the way to the location, we had the opportunity to have a chat and I showed them the beautiful countryside.
We planned a fairly short photo session with many different locations as they wanted to have beautiful memories of their session but they both find it difficult to open up in front of the camera. In the end, they had an awesome experience wandering in the Scottish wilderness. They were amazed by the beauty of nature around us and the weather - we had rain, sunshine, rain and sunshine at same time and some lovely golden light at the end of the day. Yes, this is why I love Scotland and the Highlands. :)
The last destination of my European trip was Bournemouth, England in September of 2018.
I am so thankful and happy to call these beautiful human beings my friends. They are photographers too - from Kiss in Light Photography. I had the privilege and real honour to take their annual family photos, again. :)
Enjoy the summer sunset and their carefree, lovely moments.
